Challenge

With any fishing operation, the challenge faced in programming is to improve the chance of recovery from the unplanned event; safely and efficiently recover the stuck object(s) and reduce costly recovery overruns and expensive, time-consuming remedial operations.

Risk

Failure to recover the stuck-object leads to deviation from or inability to execute the forward plan introducing increased risk, time and cost and potentially loss of the well.

Solution

Inclusion of HydroVolve HAMMER in planned fishing operations promotes an “as low as reasonably practicable” (ALARP) risk approach. MonoVolve REDUCER, when placed across build sections, allows a significant increase in pulling force to be transferred to the stuck-object whilst protecting the host casing and drill pipe from damage and wear and also reduces the torque burden in the drill string and top-drive system.
